Hello everyone! This is the start of a summer journey of yoga and cookies. I hope you will tune in to read about my relationship with both of these things. I love Bikram yoga and it is good for me---but it is hard. I started Bikram 5 years ago and have now been to around 1,000 class sessions. Believe it or not, I still can't do every pose. It is a struggle and yet SO REWARDING. I leave class drained and sweaty but feeling elated ---it resets my clock, so to speak. So, now you see why I would want to blog about that aspect of my life.
Cookies---ah cookies---I love them, they love me. Each day this summer I will inevitably be thinking about cookies. I will share my struggles, my worthwhile munching, some great recipes for you to try. What will I learn along the way about myself and this silly struggle to not eat too many cookies? For my blog, cookies are just going to have to encompass all goodies...don't you think?
So--come along with me as I explore my feelings about these two. Yoga and cookies---the ups and the downs of a healthy life.
Mom, I love this idea! Like everything in life, yoga and cookies represents the pursuit of balance we all hope to find. You put in the hard work, and of course, want a reward afterward! I totally understand. I always feel this way after the gym. And, you and I... WE love baked goods. Unfortunately :) Your blog is a great idea! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading the recipes you post. I will have to test some of them in my own kitchen here in Hawaii. Although, I'm sure your recipes will make me miss you even more. The kitchen has always been the place we spend the most time together - time I cherish! I love nothing more than strategizing about a recipe, and testing it out together! Looking forward to your posts!
